Rodney Pople 'art' Reparation Vigil

On Saturday the 18th of September 2010 over 150 faithful Catholic's came to pray, offer penance and make Reparation to Almighty God for the Sacrilegious 'art' exhibition held at Australian Galleries.

The exhibition, “Bellini 21c”, by artist Rodney Pople features 20 works that mesh Renaissance religious paintings with unusual and sometimes pornographic images. Eight works are of a sexual nature and one includes an image of a porn star engaged in a sexual act superimposed on an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Pople said he was not attacking the Christian Faith but “looking at the cracks within the Catholic Church. All I’m saying is that if you look at the layers, or strip back the curtain from the altarpiece, you’ll see a lot of hypocrisy,” Pople said. “That can stand for other elements of our social structure, not necessarily the Church.”

Mass before Mardi Gras

This years 'Mass before Madri Gras' was a little different to other years. While the Mass was taking place within the Church there were 50 Catholic's praying quietly across the road. When Fr. Peter Maher had finished Mass he thought it a good thing to come and tell all the people praying in Reparation they were 'intimidating' his parishioners. He then threatened to ring the police if we didn't move. As you can imagine the police were down at the Church pretty quickly when they were told a Church 'service' had been disrupted by people harrasing them. A long story in short the police ended up being on our side and the night of prayer went, otherwise, well. 15 decades of the Holy Rosary were prayed in reparation for the sins against the Blessed Sacrament and also to ask God for mercy upon all who attend these Masses. Please also join in praying for the Priests and the persons who attend this Mass.

"By His bruises we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5) Let us pray in this Lenten season for healing of all through the Passion of Our Lord Jesus.

'Trivia Night and Dinner Dance', in a Catholic Crypt

This Saturday night, the 12th of Feb, will see St Joseph's Newtown hold its annual 'Gay dinner dance' in the Crypt of the Church.

From the Acceptance website itself we see that the proceeds of this 'Trivia night and Dinner Dance' will go towards 'Acceptance's Mardi Gras efforts', which includes the Acceptance float. Lets hope they dont have a mock Pope on their float this year!

It might be a good thing to here point out that the Crypt of the Church is a Consecrated place, is part of the 'Domus Dei', the House of God. To be holding a Trivia night and a Dinner Dance in such a place is a profane act, to use something sacred in a way it is not to be used.

Please pray for God's forgiveness and mercy upon these poor souls who see this as an appropriate place to hold such a disgraceful event.

'Terribilis est locus iste'

'Mass Before Mardi Gras'. It continues...

The 'Gay Mass' continues. But this March 4th is the annual (39yrs running, since 1972) 'Mass before Mardi Gras'. Does it get anymore blatant? Can it be anymore contradictory to the teachings of Holy Mother Church? We must pray for an end to this Mass, for the salvation of the Priests and lay that attend it and for the Bishops (Most importantly Cardinal Pell), that they may do what their office binds them to do; to teach, govern and sanctify.

Take a look at the following two sites:

1) This is the offical Mardi Gras website advertising the Newtown 'Gay Mass' http://www.mardigras.org.au/mardi-gras-2011/events-calendar/mass-before-mardi-gras/index.cfm

2) This is the Acceptance website, events page http://www.gaycatholic.com.au/Events.asp

If you havent already done so I implore you to write to the Cardinal asking him to stop this Mass and remove the active homosexual Priests from their priestly ministry.

'I am the Way, the Truth and the Life'. (Jn 14:6). Let the Truth prevail in all things and be heard from upon the rooftops, for we are all called to be bearers of the Truth.

Note in the second article that His Eminence, George Cardinal Pell, has now give the Newtown 'gay Mass' his support as a 'Parish Mass' as of Feb. 27th 2010. It says in the article 'The Herald understands Cardinal Pell was initially concerned the service was being promoted as a "gay mass" but after a discussion with Father (Peter) Maher he gave it his support.'

"Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine" (2 Timothy 4:2)

Mass still going.
